"So grab this world by its clothespins, and shake it out again"

Today Mary posted a spoken word poem by Anis Mojgani and I fell in love with his poetry and his performace style. There's something so enchanting to me about his voice - I think I could listen to him all day.

"Shake the Dust"

"For Those Who Can Still Ride an Airplane for the First Time"

"The Fisherman"

I also searched for the transcripts online because I wanted to read the poems, so if you want to, too:
"Shake the Dust"
"For Those Who Can Still Ride an Airplane for the First Time"
"The Fisherman"

Also, check out "Four Stars." I hate how YouTube videos look on my blog but I still want you to watch this one because it's probably my favorite :)

love it! doesn't he just give you chills? so powerfully talented and articulate! that second one you posted gets me every time, too.

and I love these versions you found, much better than the quality of mine (I may do a little switcheroo ;)!

hope your week is going well, my dear!
