And on the topic of my obsession with all things French - has anyone seen The Diving Bell and the Butterfly? I watched it last night - what a gorgeous, sad movie (and unreal story, and beautiful book).

Hi, just wanted to say I've been enjoying your blog. I searched for an aquitaine blog on google and stubled upon yours. I will be participating in the TAPIF program this October. However, I have been placed in a much smaller town of about 6,000 people called Terrasson. It's about two hours from Bordeaux. I have spent three years in Manhattan as a student at Hunter College, so I understand your love for New York. Thanks for the lovely pictures. It's made me excited about my trip. :)
